Who wants a low turnout?

When will Republicans stop letting people say that the Republicans want a low turnout. That is bull in my experience in about a dozen states from the 60s through the 80s.

Older voters trend Republican but are often kept indoors on election day by cold, rain, ice or snow.

Evangelicals trend Republican, but have historically had low registration and turnout levels.

Republicans tend to be people with jobs and families and other commitments, you can't drive a van slowly down the street in Republican neighborhoods and scoop up lots of folks who have nothing better to do but go vote in return for a stiff drink or a pack of smokes.
