In a piece that goes a long way to undermine some of the most widely mentioned allegations of vote fraud in various Ohio locales, Perlstein points out that the lack of anything resembling proof of GOP fraud is taxing the public credibility of the various progressive groups shouting fraud from the rooftops.

In conclusion, he notes that Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) is proposing a constitutional amendment to create a uniform electoral machinery across the country. This strategy, he says, has the merit of preventing future abuses rather than investigating them after the fact and will put the GOP in the position of having to oppose it to keep their election fraud machinery working.
