I'm hoping that blowing off steam here will lower my blood pressure, although it may raise yours. Please read carefully as I say what I mean but I may do it with sarcasm or irony, maybe even satire on a good day.

Some of my General Principles

1. Christianity is the one true religion. It is the essential factor in the development of Western Civilization in general and of the United States in particular. Without Christianity neither can survive. Nor would either be worth preserving without it.

2. Virtually all politicians lie to us. The best of them because they think we want or need them to, the worst because they think we won't notice the deception, but most of them lie because they don't know what the truth is.

3. Silence implies consent. When a public figure lies, keeping silent is not good manners, it is enabling.

4. Democracy is a dirty word. These United States were once free republics and I hope they can be again.

5. Most of what we think we know about history is wrong. And not just the little things like the Battle of Hastings being fought at Senlac or George Washington and his cherry tree. For instance, how many coups d'etat have been carried out against the US government? By my reckoning, at least three: 1787, 1865, 1876; but, you are welcome to propose additions to the list.

6. Most of what we are told about science and medicine is also false. The reasons for this are greed and pride.

7. Men and women are not equal, but don't ask me what the differences are. I am a man and that means I know absolutely nothing about women except that I have never met one who was like me or any of the other men I know, and I am very grateful for that.
